Scaffolders Scoop Community Success in National Awards Scheme

Paisley-based JR Scaffold Services has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to local charities and community across 2020.

The leading scaffolding  firm, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, was announced as the winner of the Warmworks Scotland Communities Award in the annual ceremony, set out to highlight contractors across the country who excel in its core values.

Warmworks Scotland has worked for the last four years to deliver the Warmer Homes Scotland Fund. It hosts an annual awards ceremony for its live contractors who have shown a high level of performance in a specific area as they deliver installations and associated services across the whole of Scotland.

JR Scaffold Services scooped the top prize in the community category for its outstanding delivery in community works, and charitable initiatives during the Covid period. This is the first time the business has been recognised in the awards scheme.

John Horne, Managing Director of JR Scaffold Services said: “I am thrilled to receive the communities award from Warmworks Scotland. Our team are incredibly generous and thrive from the charity involvement which is an important part of our business. Being a part of the communities we work within is paramount and we are incredibly proud of some of the great works and contributions we are able to make this year and for the last 25 years we have been in business.

“We would like to thank Warmworks Scotland for the recognition in this area and we look forward to continuing with our charity endeavors as we move into 2021.”

Neill Barnes, Communities Manager of Warmworks, said: “There is no doubt that JR Scaffold Services have gone way beyond the call of duty in what it has achieved in the last year.

“They have wholeheartedly committed to our Employment Skills Plan target, mentoring of young people and an array of charitable and community benefit activities to help some of the most vulnerable families in their area and further afield. This award is most deserving indeed.”
