With Christmas upon us and 2019 fast approaching, The JR Group’s Managing Director, Gary McGregor, recently took time to reflect on the year gone by and to extend his best wishes to The JR Group’s valued employees and clients.
2018 – A Prosperous Year of Growth
“We will look back on 2018 as a very memorable year for The JR Group.
During 2018 we have witnessed unprecedented growth, with turnover tripling, staff doubling and the formation of our new Commercial Property Division. Alongside a healthy order book, we can’t wait to see what 2019 brings for us.
All of this continued growth reflects our ambitious plans and vision to become the construction partner of choice.”
“I would like to thank our team at The JR Group as I know we wouldn’t be where we are without the contributions made by each and every one of our employees. I would also like to extend my thanks to our customers who have provided us with some fantastic opportunities this year”.
Talking Current Affairs – Brexit
Brexit is surely one of the most talked about subjects of 2018. As many of our customers may be wondering how the UK’s current political situation will affect the Scottish construction industry, Gary gives us his thoughts on the current situation.
“The industry has displayed mixed views on the prospect of Brexit, with particular concerns about how it might affect the skills shortage, the import and export of materials, regulations and standards, etc. However, the implications of Brexit remain unclear to date.
Whilst some companies across the UK may consider freezing recruitment or halting investment in response to uncertainty, we are finding our own solutions. We continue planning and implementing our own growth plans despite the uncertain surroundings.
It will be important to adapt to any changes so we are quietly watching developments from afar to assess any impact on the Scottish construction industry.”
2019 – An Exciting Year Ahead
“We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead for The JR Group. Our aims for the year will be centred around maintaining relationships with our current customers and continuing to build our client base. 2019 will also see us firmly establish our Commercial Property Division as we continue to successfully grow the business.”
“Everyone here is looking forward to a well deserved Christmas break with a huge sense of achievement, and we look forward to continuing our hard work in the New Year…with recharged batteries.
Again, I would like to sincerely thank everyone for their continued support and on behalf of The JR Group, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
