The JR Group is committed to promoting apprenticeships and is supporting Scottish Apprenticeship Week (1st -5th March) #ScotAppWeek21.
As we come to the end of #ScotAppWeek21 we wanted to introduce just a few of our apprentices.
At present our apprentices make up eight percent of our workforce – demonstrating our commitment to investing in young talent.
We nurture future talent and secure the next generation of The JR Group team by offering trade and graduate apprenticeships as part of our Young Person Strategy. We work collaboratively with partners to attract and support the careers of young people as part of our annual intake and strategic placements throughout the communities in which we work.
Scott Dineen
Scott has worked with The JR Group for four and a half years. Beginning his career at JR Scaffold Services, after six months he started his apprenticeship with JR Specialist Services. After a successful four-year apprenticeship Scott will continue to work with The JR Group full-time following completion of his training.

Gregor McLagan
Gregor has been with The JR Group for three years after joining the company through the TIGERS scheme. Currently in his second year of his apprenticeship, we continue to work closely with both Gregor and TIGERS to maximise his learning opportunities.

The JR Group employs around 200 staff and was founded in Govan in 1995. It started as a scaffolding business and is now one of the largest building and construction firms in Scotland. The business, which has been recognised as a Living Wage employer operates throughout Scotland and Northern England working on behalf of a number of the UK’s leading housebuilders, registered social landlords and private clients.
