A fabric first approach to sustainability has been adopted, using thick walls with high levels of insulation in the houses and flats to deliver highly energy efficient building envelopes and help address issues of fuel poverty. The buildings have also been designed to accommodate PV panels and meet Silver Standard, Aspects 1 and 2.
