The JR Group are making fantastic progress on a housing project which will provide high-quality, affordable homes.

Delivered on behalf of Link Group and Swan Holdings, the site in Law Place, East Kilbride, comprises some 105 units, with a mix of terrace housing and flats.

As main contractors, The JR Group commenced the project in October 2018. Thanks to hours of hard work and dedication, the site team are well on target to complete the build and will soon deliver much-needed housing in the area.

Thoughtful Design Approach

Law Place is being created with community spirit in mind with built form and boundary treatments designed to deliver a unified sense of place and enclosure. The design has been planned to include integrated shared-space with clearly delineated and appropriately positioned public, semi-public and private functions.

The design accommodates a balanced, mixed and inclusive community, whereby tenure and needs are integrated and indistinguishable.

Furthermore, a fabric first approach will be adopted to optimise energy efficiency and the development constructed to achieve Silver Standards levels 1 and 2 of the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2017.

Projects Director, Andrew Dallas, expressed his gratitude to the hard work of the team, stating, “Progress made to date is due to the hard work and dedication of our site team and sub-contract partners. We are delighted with the progress so far and are looking forward to the completion of the project.”
